Course Description:
Being able to express ideas visually is critical in the architecture and design industry. Through this course we will study the various visual communications methods most commonly used in the architectural profession. In addition to technical drawings, we will explore graphics used to communicate ideas within the building industry to clients, designers, fabricators, and general contractors.
Learning Objectives:
Discovering one’s drawing potential and develop your own ways of expressive drawing skills
Learn various graphic languages, techniques, symbols and lettering
Acquire skills for transforming ideas into conceptual diagrams
Acquire skills for transforming conceptual diagrams into a plan, section and simple perspective
Course requirements/expectations:
Course will be performed by freehand and digital tools
Course will be supplemented with AutoCAD and Adobe digital training courses
Homework is required for the completion of this course
