Course Description:

This course prepares students for pursuing architectural drafting certification and entry level positions in professional industries as drafters and designers by gaining proficiency in computer drafting software and the architectural design and documentation process. The knowledge and skills obtained can be leveraged into gaining experience and becoming an expert in preparing a complete set of working drawings for a real world construction project.

Learning Objectives:

  • Develop efficient drafting techniques

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the 2D drawing capabilities of AutoCAD

Course requirements/expectations: 

  • Students must have completed AutoCAD Drafting Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 or equivalent
